A FREE library service for residents of Vernon Parish who are temporarily of permanetly confined to their home because of illness, age, or physical disability.

You must have a Doctor’s statement stating you are Homebound. For more, just call the Vernon Parish

Bookeye® 5 V2 Scanner

KIC Scanner

The KIC scanner is a large digital scanner that can digitize books, photos, documents and more. It has a preview/editing screen and offers the ability to save the scans in a variety of formats, including searchable .pdf, .jpeg, .png, rich text format, or as an audio file.  Scans can be saved to USB, downloaded, emailed or printed from the machine.

Red and Gray Bookmobile

Mobile Branch

The Vernon Parish Library’s Mobile Branch began service January 2012, replacing the retired Bookmobile service which ran from 1956 to 2012. It was designed to be a true “Library on Wheels.” The 35-foot unit travels an average of 1000 miles a month throughout the parish five days a week. They carry over 2300 books and 350 audio-visuals. The collection includes both regular and large print books, magazines, audiobooks, music CDs, DVD movies and trade paperbacks. They offer internet services, printing and copying.
